At the end of our Sweden round trip in late summer 2024, we spent the last days before winter storage on the west coast of Sweden. We had already heard many people rave about Ussholmen, but in high season it is often busy here. So we chose a lovely autumn day for our visit and had the place completely to ourselves.

⚓ Why we love this natural harbour
There are many great skerries along the west coast of Sweden, but in our view this is one of the most beautiful. From here you have a fantastic view of Marstrand on one side and the vastness of the Skagerrak on the other. There is even a small service hut with a toilet and rubbish bins.
⛵ Mooring
You moor with a stern anchor and the bow towards the land. There are a few rings. As there are no trees, they are actually necessary. Alternatively, you can use your own skerry nails.
🏝️ What to do ashore
Ussholmen is not as small as some other skerries. So you can definitely go for a little walk and enjoy the beautiful views, go for a swim, have a barbecue or simply relax.
